From paving plan to quote request (concept)

Concept study, not a completed client project. Garden Paving Planner is a desktop application in development; the quote workflow described below is a possible extension, not a released feature.

The gap between design and order

Garden Paving Planner (GPP) explores paving layouts with real tile dimensions and geometric rules. But when someone wants to buy the materials, a retailer still needs clear product information, design dimensions and answers to practical questions.

A possible next step is to turn the selected design into a structured enquiry. Rather than receiving only a screenshot and an email, a salesperson could receive a project description, relevant product references and questions that still need answering.

Let calculations stay deterministic

AI should not invent tile quantities, stock availability, cutting requirements or prices. Geometry and any future material calculations belong in GPP's deterministic rules. Product codes, packaging and prices would come from a retailer's own verified catalogue.

AI might contribute by turning a project description into a readable enquiry, spotting missing information and preparing specific follow-up questions. A human would review the resulting request before quoting.

A small pilot before a large platform

A focused experiment could export limited project information in JSON, match product references to a test catalogue and create a draft request through an API or n8n workflow. The retailer checks the data and decides which information is reliable enough for a quotation.

The questions worth validating are practical: can the salesperson understand the project, does it avoid repeated data entry and would a retailer actually want to receive requests this way? No conversion or sales improvement is claimed.

A connection between product and service

This concept links an owned Visual Shapers product with software integration and workflow design. AI has a supporting role; reliable information and human approval remain the foundation.
